The spatial distribution of the sandstone platforms, square mountains, peak-clusters, peak-walls, peak forests and pillars with varied shapes, erecting cliffs, deep gorges and so on in Zhangjiajie UNESCO Global Geopark shows a typical systematicness. It manisfests clearly that the crust slowly and intermittently raised with long-term erosion and incision by exogenetic and endogenetic forces. It is an integral exhibition of sandstone landforms' evolution. Hence, Zhangjiajie UNESCO Global Geoaprk has been regard as a natural lab for undersdtanding the evolutionary process of the earth¡¯s surface. It's a unique and rare geological heritage.
